About me

Hey there!I'm DiligentGoo, or simply Goo (she/her), somewhere around 30 years old, and I live in Finland, though I've also spent a couple of years living in Norway. While my main languages are Finnish and English, I'm interested on learning more, particularly by delving into Nordic languages such as Norwegian, Danish, and Icelandic, due to my interest with Nordic mythologies.In my other journeys, I've had various roles across different industries. I've worked in office work, handling tasks in accounting, customer service, IT, archives, and social media. I've also gained experience in the factory sector, working in food manufacturing, gardening, packing, and printing. During my time in Norway, I worked as a trainee as it was part of my degree, primarily doing bug testing for a video game company. I've vocational qualifications in Information and Communications Technology, Business, and Publishing and Printing.At the end of 2022, I was diagnosed with Endometriosis, followed by an ADHD diagnosis at the beginning of 2023. While these diagnoses presented their own challenges, they also brought clarity and understanding to my life. Additionally, streaming has provided me with an opportunity to raise awareness about these diagnoses.

While I don't currently have any pets of my own, animals have always been a part of my family life, especially dogs. Growing up, I used to spend time at my uncle's farm, surrounded by sheep, goats, cows, and cats. However, I soon discovered my unfortunate allergy to cats and hay, a topic I'm sure you'll hear me talk about, especially regarding my sensitivity to pollen and seasonal allergies. Despite not having my own pet at the moment, I often talk about our family dogs and look forward to the day when I can have one of my own.The current genre of interests change time to time to me, but I always return to mythologies, especially Nordic ones, because Finland still upholds old traditions. Something about the old pantheons has always intrigued me because many of their deities were not portrayed as perfect creatures; rather, they often had flaws.Video games have always been close to my heart. I started playing games when I was just a small kid, and my first console was NES. I think my first games were Super Mario, Duck Hunt, and Bubble Bobble. Eventually, we also got a PlayStation where we had, for example, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Disney's Hercules, Tekken 3, and a very weird game called Mr. Mosquito. Interestingly enough, I always liked to watch my brother playing the games, and my cousin would sometimes record her Super Mario game on VHS for me to watch – so I guess she was the first content creator I watched!
